Go to: Face Moisturiser

Hi dolls,

Simple products have always been my go to skin care products for longer than I can remember. I try different products but  I always go back to Simple. So I used to use these moisturisers when I first started using Simple and then I switched to the day and night cream. I 've been using Avon moisturisers but I just haven't gelled with them.So I went shopping for the day and night cream but something drew me to these ones. And I'm glad I picked them up.Its nice to go back to an old favourite.

I use the Light moisturiser for during the day and the rich one in the evening.

My entire face routine consists of Simple products.I did a post on the products I use here.

Light moisturiser - £3.79
Rich moisturiser - £3.89

What is your go to moisturiser?

If you've followed my blog for a while you would've noticed that I love the supershock duo e/s pencils. I've done posts on the ones I've purchased here, here and here,

They're very creamy and pigmented and last pretty much all day. Although they're eyeshadows I use them as eyeshadow bases and eyeliner.

These are 2 new autumnal metallic shades from Nailwear Pro+
The colour lasts up to 12 days - now I've never worn nail polish for longer than 3 days but if you're one of those people that don't like to change you're nail polish often this will be a good choice for you. They are also nick-resistant and are fortified with acrylic gel strength which is a plus.

These polishes need 2 coats to be completely opaque.

MUA Pearl eyeshadows

Hey dolls,

Shade 9                          Shade 24

I took a little jaunt into Superdrug and picked up 3 items from MUA (Make up academy). I had the 2 eyeshadows above and a lipgloss. The lipgloss cannot be blogged about because when I opened it the doe foot applicator was missing. I was so bummed cos I really wanted the shade I picked up :(

MUA is very popular mainly due to the fact that most of their products are £1 and the quality isn't terrible. I remember back in the day if you bought eyeshadow for a £1 the quality would be AWFUL. But MUA is the opposite, the pigmentation of the eyesdahows is very good.

The purple shadow which is coming up more blue is apparently a dupe for MACs Stars 'n rockets and the bronze shade is a dupe for MAC's Sable.
Swatches:

Comparison Swatches:

Now I swatched the eyeshdaows to see if there really was a comparison.

L-R: MAC Sable, MUA shade 24, MAC Stars 'n rockets, MUA shade 9

Now I don't think these are that similar at all. Sable and 24 are both pearl bronze shades but 24 is just that little bit more pink. They look the same in pan form but when you swatch them the pink of 24 really comes through.

Stars 'n rockets and 9 are both purple shades with blue iridescence. But stars 'n rockets is more of a pinky purple with light blue iridescence and 9 is more of a deeper purple with heavier blue iridescence.

More additions to the collection aka I have a problem...

Hi dolls,

So I have a problem (as we all know). I LOVE movies and TV shows and I'm always adding to my collection. And the last time I had a count I had 333 or 335 (cant remember). That's ALOT, but if you were to see my bookcase it doesn't look like that many. So I have added to the collection recently.

A Cinderella Story - £5 (part of the HMV 2 for £10 deal)
Monte Carlo - £7.29

 The Proposal - £3
Vicky Cristina Barcelona - £3

Fast and Furious 5 - £5 (part of the HMV 2 for £10 deal)

So after I wrote this post I then went and bought 2 more DVDs from Tesco. I prefer getting my DVDs from supermarkets such as Tesco, Asda or Sainsbury's, (sometimes Morrison's) only because they tend to have better DVD deals or lower priced DVDs than online more regularly. But I do also buy my DVDs from HMV, play.com and sometimes amazon.

Going the distance - £3
I could never be your woman - £3

Out of all my DVD purchases The proposal is the only one I've seen (kind of- I missed the beginning).

Have any of you made any current DVD purchases or have any recommendations?

INGLOT & Barry M + NOTD

Hi dolls,

So here is the last instalment of items I got from Westfield. I don't get to go to Inglot very much because its so bloody far away. The last time I went to Inglot was in 2010..OMG! I did a post on the stuff I bought here. So I was really excited to have a browse around but I was left very underwhelmed. Nothing really jumped out at me make up wise. But then I saw the nail polishes, and I know I know I was supposed to be on a nail polish buying ban and I am...now haha.

And while I was in superdrug buying my make up items I picked up this Barry m nail polish, I'd wanted this but never picked it up and as it was buy the till I quickly put it in my basket.

 310 - £8
This orange is gorgeous and the shimmer isn't showing up in the pictures. You need to apply 2 coats for it to be completely opaque. As much as I like the polish I don't feel that they were worth £8 though, the quality and staying power wasn't any better than my Avon or Barry M nail polishes.
 XL6 - £8
This was defo not worth the money. The glitter pay off isn't what I expected. If you like subtle glitter then this is the polish for you. But I'm all about it being in your face. I had to go over the top with my pink iridescent Barry m nail paint to get my desired effect.

 Pink Iridescent - £2.99
The glitter pay off of this polish is brilliant. I'm really impressed. And the price is brilliant. This is why I love Barry M cos its such good quality and so affordable.

Swatches:
 NOTD

  • Polishes used:
  • Inglot 310
  • Inglot XL6 over 310
  • Barry M Pink Iridescent (over hot pink)
  • No7 Hot Pink
  • Barry M base coat, topcoat and nail hardener

Sleek 2012 collection

Hey dolls,

"Get into the spirit of the games in style with Sleek MakeUP’s limited edition 2012 Collection, capturing London’s most exciting event this summer. Featuring i-Divine in Glory, Blush in Honour and Pout Polish in Pride, it’s everything you’ll need to take you from day to night in true winning style!"

I first heard about this palette when Beauty by JJ, posted a pic of this palette on instagram and I fell in love with it. I'm not the most patriotic person but when I saw that the new palette was based around the London Underground I was so excited and thought it was such a cool idea. And I'm looking at the train lines and I was sat here like "I've used all these lines" I know I'm sad hahaha

Pout polish - Pride
£4.29

Blush - Honour
£4.29

The blush and pout polish are pretty much the same colour. They're a rose gold/bronze shade. They remind me of MAC's Rose pigment just not a shimmery. These really suit my skin tone I feel. I'm really impressed with this collection.

Swatches:
Top - Honour
Bottom - Pride

e/s palette - Glory
£7.99

Top L-R: Tube, Overground, Bakerloo, Jubilee, Platform, Northern
Bottom L-R:District, Hammersmith and city, Piccadilly, Circle, Victoria, Central

The top row minus Northern has very natural shades. And then the bottom line is very bright and out there. Which I LOVE. This palette is very versatile and is suitable for anytime of day or night.

Swatches

I thought for those of you who aren't from London or never used the tube I'd show the tube map where these palette was inspired by. This is the map we use to get around London. It looks confusing but once you get used to it, its not. So the e/s palette was based around some of these train lines. Some colours aren't exact but I don't mind.

I just noticed that in the Bronze, Silver and Gold medals on the packaging it has the name of the product on it. For example on the e/s palette on the gold medal it says glory, on the silver it says honour and on the bronze medal it says pride.

I would definitely recommend that if you can get your hands on this GET IT!!!!!!!!! Its amazing. And its not the easiest to get a hold of, the Stratford westfield superdrug has not got this in stock and neither does my town centre superdrug. So I was so happy to get this.

This is available in store and its finally available online :)
