A quick hello

Hey guys,

Just wanted to do a quick post to say that I hope you guys had a good Christmas and got all the presents you got and ate and drank yourself stupid hahaha.

I had a pretty relaxed Christmas, just really enjoyed spending time with the fam. I will be back to regularly scheduled posts when the holidays are over.

I will be doing a "what I got for Christmas" post. It consists of beauty products and DVDs (no surprise there haha) :)

I hope you all have a fabulous New Year, I haven't actually made any plans as yet, but it will probably be spent at home with my little sister cos I think my parents and big sister will be out. I know pretty boring, but its how I spent New Years last year haha me, my lil sis and two friends. If I can I might invite some people over. We'll see.

Hope you're all well.

Wishlist Items: December 2011

Hello my lovebugs haha

These are some items that I want to add to my collection.

Sleek Brow Kit  £7.99

I first heard about this when I saw my bestie post a picture of the brow kit as her BB pic haha so I went and looked online they had sold out and I was at my local superdrug on Saturday and they didn't have it there. But it looks like quite a neat little kit. Brow wax, setting powder, 2 brushes and a pair of mini tweezers not bad for £7.99. So the next time I'm ordering from Sleek or am in a superdrug I will be picking one of these up.

I love these, and the fact that they give you lips that hint of colour. I have only ever bought them when I have bought a collection. The shades I want to get are:
Perfect Plum - to go with my Berry collection
Raspberry Rhapsody
Electro Peach
Pink Cadillac
Scandal and
Chocolate Kiss

Pout Paints £4.99
I've wanted to try these for a while but I swear every time I've been into Superdrug I've had tunnel vision and just gone in for the item(s) I needed. I think I pretty much want all the shades available.

This shade is in Steel and Ash. This item looks like it would be really good as a base for a smokey eye. I wasn't able to get this because it was sold out in my local superdrug.

I was looking on the Barry M website the other day and came across this nail polish. I'm not sure if its available in stores yet but I haven't seen it, so I dunno.

I wanted to try the Nails Inc.ones but the ones from 17 are alot cheaper than the nails inc that cost £13 and from reviews I've seen they seem to get the job done just the same.

I'm hoping these items will end up under my Christmas tree and maybe I'll be able to buy these in the coming weeks maybe during any sales :)

What are your wishlist items?

  • Jack Frost

So I was looking at pictures on my camera...

Hello my lovelies,

So I was going through some pics and came across these swatches I'd done of some nail polishes I'd got form Avon a while back. These photos were supposed to be part of a HUGE nail haul that I was supposed to post but then my nails broke and I didn't get to finish. So I thought why let these photos go to waste? So I thought I'm just gonna post them

AVON Haul: 1st December 2011

Hello my loves,

I'm not sure if you know (cos I don't remember writing it on here, I have tweeted about it though), but I am an AVON representative. I took a break from it when I went on holiday and never really got back into it. So about 2-3 weeks ago I got a call from them asking if I wanted to get a "Try again" pack. So I said yes cos as its nearly Christmas I thought people might wanna gets some bits or gifts for the holidays :) and its a nice way to make a little extra change.

So the pack came with brochures and a few beauty items all for a pretty sweet price.

I'm going to show you the items I got.

Outspoken Intense by Fergie EDP 50ml - £15
The box for the perfume is absolutely lovely I think I like the box more than the perfume hahaha. No but seriously the perfume smells really good. I didn't think I would like it but I do.

SuperSHOCK MAX mascara in Black - £10
I really like the SuperSHOCK line, I have the SuperSHOCKeyeliner and SuperSHOCK mascara which I blogged about here. It is the best mscara I have ever used. So with this being SuperSHOCK MAX I expect only good things from this mascara :)

Christmas Lip Balm - currently 99p normal price - £3.20
This smells like sweets. That's 2 lip products in one week that I've gotten that smell good enough to eat :) haha.

Skin so soft and fresh dry oil body spray
I couldn't find this product in my current brochure. But this stuff is so good. It keeps your skin moisturised and also acts an insect repellent. Me and my family used this while we were away in Egypt and it actually worked.

Erin Watch
I also couldn't find this one in my current brochure but its a gorgeous watch. I love the chain link straps and the face is gorgeous. :)

Maybe get yourself onto the Avon website or find your local rep to get some nice bits for the Christmas season and some nice presents for your loved ones. Avon do some really good gift sets for men and women. And they also have this Make you own gift basket set which I think is great and a really good price. :)

Superdrug Mini Haul

Hello loves,

So I dunno if you remember from my birthday haul, I got a Superdrug giftcard from my bestie Leanne. As I was going into my town centre to collect my Sleek package I thought I might as well go spend it cos Superdrug was like literally 30seconds away. I picked up a few items....

I got cotton wool haha on a deal 2 for £2.49 (not really interesting but it was an essential item)
Make Up Academy (MUA) Matte eyeshadow Shade 17 - £1
This is a nice matte flesh toned eyeshadow that I use as a brow highlight.

Make Up Academy (MUA) Matte eyeshadow Shade 18 - £1
When I saw this in the shop and swatched it I thought it was quite pigmented but when I actually used it on the eye it didn't come out well at all. I might try and use this wet and see if it comes up more vibrant.

Make Up Academy (MUA) Lip gloss Shade 3 - £1
A gorgeous sheer pink lipgloss. I wore this the other day and it was so nice and lasted quite a while until I had something to eat and drink haha. Really nice purchase very happy with it.

I think I might purchase some more MUA products. They're really cheap and the quality ain't too bad. I think next time I pick an eyeshadow I will be more careful haha when I check the pigmentation. But do you know what as much as the purple didn't come out as expected you cant scoff at the quality and prices of theses items.

Limited edition nail effect - Lilac Foil - £3.99
If you spend £6 on Barry M you get this free but there wasn't really anything I needed from Barry M at the moment. So I thought  I might as well just get the polish on its own.

Olympic Park Tour - 26/11/11

Hi guys,

So you may remember a few months back I had tweeted and may have blogged about it (crap memory haha) but me and my family were supposed to go on a tour of the Olympic Park, but we were like 3 minutes late and the tour had left without us. My older sister managed to book another lot of tickets. So on Saturday me and my family (me, mum, dad and 2 sisters) went on a tour of the Olympic grounds. It was really cool to see how far they've come and to see what sports are gonna be where and what plans they have for after the grounds and buildings once the Olympics are over. I took loads of pictures so I'm gonna show you a select few. I'm not sure how you book tickets for these tours but if anyone is interested I can find out. The tickets are free by the way. Might I add the tour we went on was delayed by 9  minutes and when were literally 3 minutes late they were like we don't wait for late comers...erm WTF?!?!?!

The booklet we got.

Pictures from the site.

It was a nice day out with the fam, and then because we were at Stratford station we decided to go to Westfield's where I bought some more DVD's :) (which I will show you in a blog post). I love being able to take a 6 minute train journey to Westfield's, so good :)
